It is 8:45 Wednesday night. I just finished shipping back the product from our signing with David Ortiz. I arrived in Ft. Myers Florida this morning to set up. David came shortly after the Red Sox spring training game this afternoon. This was our first signing in 2006 with Big Papi. I first met him in Boston the day of the Red Sox victory parade in 2004. It is always interesting hanging out with David. We talked about the World Baseball Classic in which he loved playing in and speaks with a lot of pride when talking about the Dominican team. Ortiz signed WBC jerseys and baseballs. They came out great. We also did an unbelievable new 16x20 collage which commemorates some of David's legendary walk-off heroics. Big Papi is really excited about the upcoming season. He has good reason to be after the Red Sox off-season acquistions of Coco Crisp and Josh Beckett. Even with Toronto's improvements it still should come down to the Yankees and the Sox in the AL East. I'm on the first flight back to New York tomorrow morning where I will be preparing for an exciting few days of signings this weekend.
