Jack Lambert - April 11th

I returned last night from our signing with Steelers great Jack Lambert. It was quite an experience. I was assisted by Mets enthusiast Dave Vassalo. We left our offices at about 2:00 Monday afternoon. The drive was a little over 7 hours. This signing took place in a small town in western Pennsylvania. One of the neighboring towns looked a lot like the one in the movie "Footloose" where there was that big church on the hill and dancing was prohibited. Anyway, the town where we did the signing is actually where the movie "The Mothman Prophecies" takes place. I have a great photo showing the bridge from that film.
We arrived just after dark Monday night and set for the next day's signing. Jack came at 8:30 Tuesday morning. He was awesome. It was really interesting talking with him. We talked a little bit about football but more about baseball. The awful Pirates had their home opener the day before. We got some great photos signed including the classic Lambert Sports Illustrated cover. We finished at around 10:00 and was loaded up to leave before 12:00.
I got so lost going home. After an hour of driving I actually ended up right in front of the hotel again. There are not many signs around there pointing towards the one main highway. After figuring out where it went terribly wrong, we retraced our steps and found the elusive 80 East. We got back to the Steiner offices at about 8:15 last night. It was a long day and a half but was definitely an incredible adventure. I will be talking about this one for a long time.
