Rocky Bleier - April 4th

This morning I had the privilege of doing a signing with Steelers great Rocky Bleier. Rocky is really an unbelievable guy who overcame so much to become a running back on the four time Super Bowl champs. He went to college at Notre Dame and was drafted by the Steelers after graduating in 1968. Shortly after being drafted by Pittsburgh, Bleier was drafted by the army and sent to Vietnam. He was severely wounded in battle to the point where he could barely walk. Rocky persevered and through hard work and dedication finally made it to the starting roster of the Steelers. It was really inspiring to spend some time talking with him. Rocky signed some great Steelers photos and mini helmets, as well some Notre Dame images.
Next week I am doing a signing in Pennsylvania with Bleier’s old roommate Jack Lambert. I am very excited about finally meeting Lambert after hearing so much about him from all his old teammates. It should be quite an experience.
