I just returned from Bridgeport where I did a signing with Goose Gossage. As you know I was with Goose earlier in the week. I didn't really have a chance until today to talk to him. Gossage is awesome. The guy knows so much about pitching. Everyday I realize more and more that, as fans, we don't fully understand why a certain pitch is thrown and when. Goose and I spoke in length about Mariano Rivera. The game has changed a lot since Gossage's era but Mo stands as a true throwback pitcher. Goose had nothing but great things to say about Rivera. We got some amazing product signed including a new photo of Gossage on the mound with Thurman Munson. I also added him to our 1978 team project. The pieces are coming out unbelievable. I am really looking forward to completing it soon. Check back tomorrow as there may be a few more surprises.
