We have a very exciting few weeks coming up to end this great summer. This Saturday at Last Licks in Huntington there will be five players from the 1986 Mets appearing. Jesse Orosco, Ron Darling, Keith Hernandez, Gary Carter and Darryl Strawberry will all be signing at the store from 11:30-1:00. They are all great guys. It should be a lot of fun.
Then next week I am heading back to Georgia for a few days for a private signing with my friend Hank Aaron. I always look forward to seeing my buddy but this time I am a little more excited than usual. I can't wait to get on him about the already finished Braves. He has been killing me for years about the Mets. It is my turn.
On Saturday August 26th current Mets stars Paul LoDuca and Jose Valentin are appearing at Last Licks in Massapequa. LoDuca has been the hottest hitter in baseball since the All-Star break and Valentin has been so clutch all year. Did anyone else see that play he made against the Nats yesterday? Valentin looks like he has been playing second base his entire career.
So that gets us to the last week in August.
