March 14th- Johnny Damon
It is a little past midnight here in Tampa. I am definitely having a weird X-Files moment right now as it was exactly a week ago (almost to the minute) that I posted the Andy Pettitte blog. Anyway I finally finished all my work here in Tampa. Johnny Damon came here to sign right after tonight's game. I have always enjoyed working with Johnny. I still vividly remember the first signing we ever did with him (up in Boston the day of the parade in 2004). While he has changed teams and signed a huge contract, Damon remains as down to earth a celebrity as you will ever meet. The guy is awesome. We spent most of this signing discussing wrestling (both TNA and WWE). We are both way psyched for Wrestlemania and are big fans of Batista. Anyway, Johnny signed some great items including 6 (yes 6!) new Yankees images in both 8x10 and 16x20. They are sure to become staple items in our already amazing Johnny Damon Exclusive Collection. Once the signing was complete I spent about 45 minutes boxing up all the product to ship back to New York. I am flying back first thing in the morning and am really looking forward to sleeping in my own bed. Earlier today I did the math- I have been on the road 12 of the last 15 days.
On Friday we have the Charlie Weis event at our office and then, on Saturday, I am flying (again) to Chicago for the day. I will be doing signings with Archie, Eli and Peyton Manning. Check back for updates.
