August 28th- Eric Gagne
I just got back from our private signing with Red Sox reliever Eric Gagne. The Sox are in town to play (and possibly bury) the Yankees. While Gagne's first few weeks in Boston have been tumultuous he seems to be on the right track. After all, the guy is a proven commodity as one of the best in the game. He is sure to play a huge role in Boston's postseason push. Anyway, I arrived at the team's hotel at about 10:30 to set up. Gagne walked in right on time at 11:30 and finished the small signing in less than a half-hour. Eric is a really nice guy and seems to be quite fired-up about being with the Red Sox. Once the signing concluded I packed up and headed straight back to our office. We got some unbelievably strong product signed including game-used Red Sox baseballs. MLB baseballs and a great photo (in both 8x10 and 16x20).
Later this week I will be doing signings with Ralph Kiner, Shelley Duncan, Andy Phillips and Chien-Ming Wang as the Mets and I march full-steam ahead into the upcoming holiday weekend. (Magic Number=28!)
