Late this afternoon I had the privilege of meeting and doing a small private signing with Giants superstar Plaxico Burress. Plax made himself a household name (if he wasn't already) on Sunday when he lit up the Packers for 11 catches and 154 yards. I have been on the Burress bandwagon for quite some time and it seems that it is getting pretty crowded right now. Bottom line is that the guy is the man. Accorsi knew it when he picked him up a few years ago (he actually dedicates a good number of pages of his book to that signing). Any way you look at it Plax is heading to the Super Bowl and we got some seriously strong product signed to commemorate that. Over the course of about forty-five minutes Burress signed mini-helmets, footballs and several awesome images (including two from Sunday's legendary performance!) The Plax signing was the first of a few Giants signing that I will be conducting over the next few days.
