Last night was our appearance at the Scarsdale JCC (courtesy of Last Licks Scarsdale). Overall it was an unbelievable event. As usual there was somewhat of an awkward period as people anxiously awaited Joba's arrival (he was coming from the game). This was a little more intensified though than the typical anticipation since Goose was already there signing both in private and for customers that just had Gossage tickets. Chamberlain did finally arrive shortly after six and we, surprisingly, got through it very quickly. Every customer took photos with and both guys were, as always, as gracious as can be with the fans. The reciprocated adulation between these guys and the fans did not surprise me one bit. I have done so many signings over the years with Goose and a fair amount with Joba that I knew, even with the lack of flow (very hard to get a line to perfectly flow with two guys signings) they would both take the time to give customers an incredible experience.
After (and before) the public portion we were able to get some of the fabled seatbacks signed by both Goose and Joba. These are one of the coolest items that we now offer so be on the lookout for images on the site over the ensuing days and weeks.
Sorry to keep this one brief but I have yet another jam-packed day including a private signing with Melky Cabrera and a public appearance with Nick Swisher at the Steiner Sports Store.
