October 22nd

This has been a crazy week thus far. As you all know Saturday was our appearance at the Steiner Sports Store with the Hit King Pete Rose. It was, as suspected, an total success. Pete remains the champion of public signings as he dazzled the crowd for close to two hours.. sharing stories and taking photos with everyone. A Rose appearance is one signing where one can truly say there are no issues and all walk away ecstatic.
Then on Monday I flew down to Orlando for a quick private signing with Red Sox star Victor Martinez. While I was literally in Florida for less than fifteen hours it was quite a productive evening. Victor signed baseballs and bats for about an hour while we watched a disaster of the Phillies/Dodgers game (at least a disaster in the eyes of this Met fan). After finishing it was straight back to a routine I have not missed these past few months... packing up. It took about an two hours to bag and pack up the product (in preparation to ship the items back to New York). With an early morning flight only a few hours away I stayed up reading (The Road to Woodstock by Michael Lang.. awesome book by the man that put together the Woodstock Festival) and headed to the airport for my flight to JFK.
I was back in the office for less than two hours before departing right back out towards Long Island and the Steiner Sports Store (again). Monday evening we had an appearance with my boy Dwight Gooden. Doc's popularity never ceases to amaze me. Gooden signed at the mall less than two months ago and still drew a great crowd for Monday's event. I finally made it home a little before ten that night and am now entrenched in the remarkable possibility of a Yankees/Phillies World Series.
So there you have it.. as quick (and painless) an overview as possible of the past few days. We should be on a serious run over the next few days (and ensuing weeks) so be on the lookout for more posts, photos and videos. I am still regaining the hang of writing these things so hopefully as time goes on the posts get even better.
Enjoy the day! Go Yankees! (wow..second time in a week I wrote that.. it is getting a little easier to say it...)
